[ssba]A professional single mother located in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Live-In Nanny to start asap. She has one son autistic that will be 15 years old in October. He is moderately functioning and has many self-help skills, but is below average on comprehension (thinks like a 8 or 9-year-old). The job requires teaching and sometimes participating in leisure skills such as playing basketball or tennis and taking him to his various activities such as swimming and gymnastics classes. Depending on the mothers travel schedule some days the nanny will need to make him dinner and go through his nighttime routine with him and also help him to get ready in the morning. He has a variety of therapists/teachers that will be working with him during the day and the nanny will have quite a bit of free time. They come at 8:15 and leave around 3 p.m. The nanny must be open to travel 4-5 times per year to Florida and also 1-2 big trips to places like Europe or the Caribbean. For example, last summer they went to Africa on a fun safari! They are looking for a Nanny that is intelligent, witty, willing to learn about autism, has enough energy to maybe take a Zumba class with her son, willing to ask questions, interested in travel, swims and likes the beach as they spend time at their home on the Jersey Shore in Long Beach Island. The Nanny will have her own private bedroom with flat screen and WiFi and private bath and will be provided with a Lexus SUV to use for work hours “including” off hours as well. The pay range is up to $600-650 per week *based on experience, including 2 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays and paid personal days. Family also pays 50% of nanny’s full medical insurance premium and also pays $100 cash if the nanny ever works on a Saturday or Sunday. *This family also has an 10 yr old Labradoodle that is part of the family.
